Andy Verdone 2002
Huntington Beach High School Coach

Coach Verdone took over from Chuck Allen (HONOR ROLL recipient in '99) in '87-'88 and immediately lead Huntington Beach High School Surfteam to a NSSA National title and his since captured ten (10) NSSA National titles whist coaching the likes of the Deffenbaugh brothers, Jay Larson, Micah Byrne, Shaun Ward and most recently rising star Brett Simpson. A huge part of Coach Verdone's program is his annual journeys taking the HBHS team around the world during summer vacations to such destinations as Australia, South Africa, and Ireland.
